This card really got my attention after the US Airways merger with American Airlines was announced. When you meet the requirements for this card you will be able to get US Airways Dividend Miles to use on US Airways, however eventually these miles may be transferrable to AAdvantage miles. I am a huge fan of American Airlines because of the reasonable reward flights to Mexico and the Caribbean.

Megan and I both applied for this card and I'm amazed how quickly we received our rewards points after making our first purchase and paying our bill. We received a really nice welcome packet in the mail that included our US Airways Club (VIP airport lounge) day pass and our $99 two companion passes. The pros are you only have to make one purchase to get the 40,000 miles without having to spend $2,000+ in 90 days. The con is the $69 annual fee, but it's still worth it for the 40,000 miles. If you and your spouse get the card that's 80,000 miles of fun!
