30,000 AAdvantage airline miles per person + $50 tax and 60,000 Marriott Rewards and 30,000 MileagePlus Miles

Flight:

We used 30,000 AAdvantage airline miles per person + $50 tax.  These AAdvantage miles came from a credit card offer we signed up for about a year ago with CITI card.

Hotel:

The first night and last night of our trip we plan on staying at the Ramada Plaza Herradura near the airport and we had 30,000 MileagePlus Miles to use for this stay.  We splurged and spent 60,000 Marriott Rewards to stay at the Los Suenos Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort, a 600 acre resort on the beach.  We will be paying for one night hotel near the Arenal Volcano because there are no national hotel chains. 

Review: 
We have always wanted to go to Costa Rica and the timing worked out that we were able to book a trip for May.  There is so much to see and so little time!  We are researching places to visit and what to do.  It looks like we will be renting a car on this trip!

The Los Suenos Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort where we'll be staying for two nights.
